*DOTT Services wins contract to tarmack Mackinnon road*

Engineering, Procurement and Construction giants, DOTT Services has been accorded the opportunity to lay a new layer of asphalt on the iconic Mackinnon Road in the heart of Kampala City.
The DOTT Services Project Manager, Eng Dhanaraaju said the three month contract will also involve laying a new layer of shoulders on the road.
He said that unlike the other roads that Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has been reconstructing, Mackinnon Road was still in a fairy stable state but with random potholes inhibiting smooth traffic flow.
Located in the upscale Nakasero area, Mackinnon serves prime businesses including Imperial Royale Hotel and Mackinnon Suites famed for hosting local and international guests.
Dhanaraaju said that the completion of the road would diversify access options to Kafu and Kintu roads that connect to Yusuf Lule road.
The road was named in honour of Sir William Mackinnon, who laid the administrative, economic and infrastructure foundations upon which modern Uganda is built.
