You will also need a TIN if you are involved in the registration of MV or transfer of Land. TIN is Free of charge according to Ian Rumanyika Public & Corporate Affairs Manager
John Katumba replied to Uganda Revenue Authority accusing the Independent Electoral Commission .
“This is false, I have the money but the partisan Electoral Commission has failed to avail me other ways of making the payments since I don’t have a Tax Identification Number”, said Katumba.
Nancy Kalembe the only woman expected to join the Presidential race failed on the first day also due to lack of fees payment.
“We have discovered that you have not yet paid a fee of UGX 20m, as a result, we are not able to nominate you because you have not fully complied with the requirements for a presidential candidate” – Justice Byabakama
