PRESIDENT MUSEVENI,DR RUTH JANE ACENG,DR DIANA ATWIINE PROVING LEADERSHIP AGAINST COVID 19 IN UGANDA, RALLY TOURISM SECTOR

Rarely do Ugandans write or post uniform messages thanking its government officials for the job well done, the COVID 19 is uniting Ugandans as health workers work around clock to stop it from coming to Uganda.
Hon Jane Aceng and team are addressing many meeting of various stakeholders to galvanize support against Corona Virus that has brought the world to its knees.
On 11th March 2020, Jane Aceng and Dr Yonas Tegegn, the World Health Organisation Representative held a late night interaction with hoteliers, tour operators and members of the Tourism Industry of Uganda.
Hon Jane Aceng in a statement said, ” Am here to orient you about the looming threat of #COVID19 and the prevention measures that you should embrace in the various capacities”.
Dr Yonas Tegegn asked Ugandans not to believe in myths surrounding #COVID19, its not cured by bathing two times a day in hot water.
“#COVID19 is not cured by eating garlic or by drinking alcohol”, Dr Yonas appealed to the tourism sector which handles visitors coming from different countries.
Dr Ruth Jane Aceng made a humble appeal to all the good people, “please wash your hands with soap and water as much as you can. If you dont have soap and water, use an alcohol based sanitizer or hand rub”.
Aceng asked Ugandans and all visitors to encourage each other to wash hands with soap and water as well. We can keep #COVID19 out of Uganda.
President Yoweri Museveni asked Ugandans to keep following the Ministry of Health guidelines for all mass gatherings in the country. Please take note and cooperate accordingly. We have not suspected or confirmed case of coronavirus and we still can avoid it.
Sarah Kasubo said on the issue of COVID19 i give you credit Mr President, you have done alot to see we are safe with the help of God.
Tarsis Natukwasa told Hon Jane Aceng and team, you have performed very excellently as a leadership in containing outbreaks and many more areas. We are very grateful for your excellent service Dr Ruth Aceng. Together we can keep COVID19 out of Uganada.
Milton Byakatonda said Thanks Hon, you are a proactive Minister and its unbelievble that such selfless people still exist in this government.
Bashir Omwana Omuzibu asked the Hon Ruth Aceng, Is it true that African blood is genetically resistant to COVID19 as people say?
The Minister of health replied him, thats not true COVID19 is not discriminate. It affects people of all color, religion, tribe and race. Bashir thanked the Minister for information. He requested the Ministry of Health to stop people who are speading rumours that African blood is resistant.
Joseph Imoko thanked Dr Diana Atwiine, ” Thanks for the information, it is comforting to know the Ministry of Health is on the look out. It is even more comforting to know that of all areas that MOH scores highly it is in early detection and swift control of epidemics.
