Two burn in Home of Chapati makeshift house

Police in Mbarara have confirmed the death of two people who were burnt beyond recognition after their home of chapatti caught fire last night behind post office building along Mbarara-Kabale highway.

Preliminary police investigations identified the deceased as one Kakuru 20 years and God 15 years whose origin is yet unclear.

Samson Kasasira the Rwizi regional police Spokesperson said the fire gutted at around midnight and burnt to ash everything that was contained in the wooden temporary structure.

He noted that accirding to.police investigations show that the fire could have originated from burning charcoal stove that was boiling beans and the two  dead were staying in that chapatti kiosk.

Kasasira says  police was called in and rushed to the scene of crime and retrieved the bodies and took them to Mbarara regional referral hospital for postmortem and DNA tests as investigations into the matter continue to identify the root cause of the fire and particulars of the deceased.
