Tunisia to hold parliamentary elections tomorrow

Electoral silence has taken hold in Tunisia ahead of Sunday’s parliamentary elections.

The phase of electoral silence started on Saturday in Tunisia, a day before voting in the parliamentary elections kicks off in the country.

This is the second legislative election to be seen in the country since the Tunisian Constitution of 2014 was endorsed.

All activities of electoral propaganda are prohibited throughout the electoral silence phase.

Tunisian expatriates continue casting their ballots in parliamentary elections for the second day.

Up to 385, 000 eligible voters are registered to take part in the voting process.

Candidates are competing for 217 seats in the Tunisian parliament with the winning political to be responsible for forming the new government in a period of less than two months.
