IGG Irene Mulyagonja yesterday underwent vetting by parliament together with other judges following her appointment as judge to the court of appeal by president Museveni last week.
The president appointed new Judicial Officers to both the High Court and Court of Appeal last week, following it up with a request to parliament to approve them.
In the appointments, Justices Monica Mugenyi Kalyegira, Muzamiru Kibeedi Mutangula and the Inspector General of Government (IGG) Irene Mulyagonja have gone to the court of appeal.
Meanwhile, the High Court has taken the biggest percentage with 12 judges appointed to it.
These include: Vincent Mugabo Emmy, Immaculate Busingye, Jane Okuo, Isaac Muwata, Jesse Byaruhanga Rugyema, Isa Serunkuma, Jeanne Rwakakooko, Susand Abinyo, Esta Nambayo, Victoria Katamba Nakintu Nkwanga, Boniface Wamala and Philip Odoki.
