Two Rushegyera brothers, Martin and Peter, arrested in connection with the shooting murder of their brother Joshua along the Kampala-Entebbe Express Highway have been released on police bond from Kampala Metropolitan South Police cells.
The two brothers were on Monday arrested along with two lawyers and a money lender from the districts of Mbarara and Bushenyi only to be released Saturday, 5th October on police bond.
Information at our desk reveals that the bond was allegedly secured with the help of deputy inspector general of police Muzeeyi Sabiiti and other officials.
The two lawyers Deus Kamugisha from Bushenyi and Yefes Mwijutsya from Mbarara were as well released in the bond process.
Dr Morgan Sangire, a former university lecturer and a money lender were also released.
The cohort have recorded statements with police though, as investigations into the murder of their brother Nteireho Joshua and Tumukunde Merina take hold, almost a month since they were shot along the Kampala Entebbe Express Highway.
Nteireho Joshua was buried in Kazo District while Merina was buried in Kachwangoobe.
