Nagirinya murder suspects reconstruct crime plot with police

Suspects in the murder of Maria Nagirinya and her driver Ronald Kitayimbwa who were killed and their bodies dumped along Mukono Kayunga Road yesterday took police investigators around the places where the crime was hatched and carried out.

They visited four suburbs around Kampala including: Nateete ABC, Busega Dome, ABC Lungujja and Nakitutuli, Nama Sub County, Mukono-Kayunga Road.

The suspects also took the police officers to Nateete Kitooro, Nalukolongo and back to Lungujja.

In each of these areas, the suspects narrated whatever took place in the intricate plot to end Nagirinya’s life that started from her home gate on the night she was kidnapped.

At the first site, Nateete ABC, the suspects say they got boda boda rides that they used to pursue Nagirinya’s car up to Lunguja where they grabbed her at her home gate.

The grabbing of Nagirinya was then followed by a twisted drive around Kampala before the suspects took the victims to Mukono and later branched to Mukono – Kayunga Road where they dumped the bodies at Nakitutuli Village, Nama Sub County.

On the night of the murder, the suspect seen driving Nagirinya’s car in the police footage, has been identified only as Kasolo.

While Kasolo drove, his two accomplices in the back of the car embarked on the devilish duty of ending Nagirinya and Kitayimbwa’s lives.

According to police reports, the suspects first killed Kitayimbwa whom they hit with a car jerk on the head.

Nagirinya was then tortured to disclose her mobile money pin code and later killed.

After dumping the bodies at Nakitutuli, the suspects then took to withdrawing money from the deceased’s phone.

Nagirinya’s money was withdrawn from a Mobile Money shop at Nalukolongo while Kitayimbwa’s was withdrawn from Lunguja.

Police would later use the mobile money agent to track down the killers.

It is alleged that the suspects withdrew sh 500, 000 from Nagirinya’s account before later driving to Kitooro where they dumped her car.
