Museveni campaigns for Harriet Businge in last gasp efforts ahead of Hoima Woman MP by election

With two days to go to the Hoima woman MP by election, president Museveni has traveled to Hoima District in last minute campaigns to elicit support for NRM candidate Harriet Mugenyi Businge.

Museveni will join Businge’s camp today as the two seek to defeat joint opposition candidate Asinansi Nyakato of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC).

President Museveni is expected to address two rallies today as he begins his two day campaigns for Businge.

The Hoima District woman MP seat fell vacant after the decision by former woman MP Tophace Kaahwa Byagira to represent newly formed Kikuube District.

The president will today address a rally in Kitoba Sub county, Bugahya county and another one at Kigorobya Muslim Primary School, Kigorobya county.

Museveni will then wind up with two more rallies on Tuesday with the first one at Kabaale public primary school, Kabaale sub county and later at Hoima Booma, Hoima municipality.

Similarly, the opposition is also expected to have its big names show up for their candidate with Bobi Wine expected to be the lead name.
