Hon Faith Alupo a Member of Parliament representing Pallisa district in Uganda has died of coronavirus at Mulago hospital. Her condition worsened at 4am, the ICU team tried to save her life but in vain.
Late Faith Alupo 36 years was initially admitted at Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital for 3 days after being diagnosed with COVID-19 in severe form.
A source at Entebbe hospital said she was transferred to Mulago National Referral Hospital yesterday after the respiratory symptoms worsened and the ICU team received her.
“She was put on a non rebreather Mask plus Nasal prongs for oxgyen and she seemed to improve”, said our source.
Late Faith Alupo was able to eat a light meal last night(14th September 2020). Her condition deteriorated at around 4am (15th September 2020) , the ICU team tried to save her life but in vain.
She was declared dead following a cardiac arrest. She was expectant but not yet due for labour. Her baby could not survive.
Parliament has learnt with sorrow of the untimely death of Hon Faith Alupo, Woman MP for Pallisa District which occurred at Mulago Hospital. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
The Speaker informs the August House about the passing of Hon. Faith Alupo, Pallisa District MP, at Mulago Hospital. She says the Parliamentary Commission is working with the family on the burial arrangements.
