Kabale school of Medicine in trouble for retaining failed students as student tutors

Kabale institute of health sciences school is in trouble over about two tutors who were retained by the school administrators after lacking funds to clear the retakes achieved during their studies.

This was revealed today morning when the clinical medicine students  matched to the district headquarters and staged peaceful demonstration complaining that there are some tutors who got retakes and failed to raise the funds to re-sit for them  calling up  the kabale district authorities to come and intervene before the matter worsens.

The tutors has been identified as Ndomugabe Bruce who teach medicine,anatomy and physiology  and another one was only identified as Isma who instructs obstrics ,maternity and child healthy who were once a students at the same school but failed .

Students are now worried how a person having retakes teach yet he failed the course units during his studies.

Seebufu derrick a speaker at Kabale institute healthy of science says the students reported on 8th July till now there are some course units which have never been tacked at any more because no lecturers.

 Derrick adds that two instructor who instruct the has no documations concerning with clinical course because they failed totally during their studies.

 Tumwebaze  Defas ayear two student offering clinical medicines at kabala institute of healthy science also said that the school might be paying bribes to the district athourities because they complain to the now and then but nothing being done.

Accordindg to Defas, it would be better when the investigative journalists and the IGG com in the school and investigate how the school is running.

He added that the whole school is being run by four instructors and of which the two un qualified are full timers and the remaining are part timers yet they are the one qualified

Waswa kaziba the education minister of the school also said that the matters are being worthiness because there is lack of supervision from the top leaders especially from district.

Kaziba adds that the absenteeism of top officials has also attributed to the poor services delivery because ever since this semester began the principal and director is no where to be seen around the school premises.

However the kabale district chairperson Lc5 Patrick Besigye Keihwa advised the students to go back to the school and write all the issue and inform the district to act the matters.

The Kabale Resident District Commissioner; Darius Nandinda blamed the challenges raised by students to poor coordination between administrators and the director.

When our reporter visited the school, the managing director Birungi Alex declined to comment on the matter.

Last year again Over 500 students of Kabale institute of health sciences Monday morning of March 05, 2018 staged a peaceful demonstration protesting against what they called poor learning conditions.
