Fire breaks out at NRM national treasurer’s home

Two fire out breaks inter spaced by time broke out at the home of Rose Namayanja Nsereko, the NRM national treasurer in Masooli, Kasangati Wakiso District.

The fires have been confirmed by Rogers Mulindwa, the NRM senior manager in charge of communication, information and public relations.

According to Mulindwa, the first fire broke out on Thursday evening and the second one on Friday morning.

All occupants of the house including Namayanja herself and her husband are said to have successfully escaped unhurt by the fire.

While the actual cause of the fire is yet to be established, the fires have been described by Mulindwa as mysterious.

“The first incident happened on Thursday evening when the annex housing the gym got burnt to ashes,” said Mulindwa.

“Another fire started from the living room of the main house around 8:00 am on Friday morning leaving several house property destroyed,”Mulindwa adds in a statement.

The police in conjunction with a joint team of experts have began investigations into the incident.
