Rukungiri chief magistrate and two lawyers’ lives are under threat after receiving death threats from unknown people. The District Police Commander as well as the Resident State Attorney are also among the people being targeted.
The anonymous letter was dropped in front of the State Attorney, Mr Richard Muhereza’s residence on Tuesday morning.
The letter contains death threats directed at the Chief Magistrate, Mr Moses Kule Lubangula, the District Police Commander, Mr Moses Nanoka, two prominent lawyers, Mr Mark Tumwesigye of M/s Mark Mwesigye & Company Advocates and Mr Jonathan Bwagi of Bwagi & Company Advocates.
The suspected assassins have warned them in the letter, to back off the land cases they are handling. The warning letter was packaged in a brown envelope which also contained two live bullets.
