Uganda People’s Defence Forces(UPDF) and Uganda Police Force(UPF) have withdrawn their officers from the home of Bobi Wine(Robert Kyagulanyi) the former Presidential Candidate of National Unity Platform in Uganda’s Presidential Elections.
This comes after High Court in Kampala ruled against the state for keeping the former Presidential Candidate in his home for failing to renounce violence.
Bobi Wine was able to meet 61 Members of Parliament that won on his political party at his home of Magere, North of Kampala.
Bobi Wine was able to meet his team without incident. He asked his team to avoid temptations from the ruling party.
“They will tempt you with money or ministerial appointments. Those who refuse will be in running battles with the ruling party. Remember the people who voted”.
He later held a closed door meeting with his team.
Robert Kyagulanyi scored 34% while the winner President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni got 60%.
