Tear gas and bullets have become the order of the day at Kayabwe in Mpigi as police and the army tried to arrest a suspect regarding the recent murder of a boda boda man in Kapeeka, Mengo Rubaga in Kampala that was captured by a nearby CCTV camera. This has come in after the arrest of a one Mukiga- as his known by name by the Uganda Police two days ago. This video as they murdered the cyclist went viral on social media as many people gave their mind about it.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango identified the suspect as John Bosco Mugisha alias Mukiga. In a statement issued, Onyango explained that Mukiga was picked up from his hideout in Nsiike I, Ndeeba, Rubaga Division in Kampala following a tip off. According to police, Mukiga confessed that he and his friend, Young Mulo (not the music artist) were the ones who strangled Derrick Mulindwa at Kakyeka in Mengo Rubaga, in Kampala around 4am on June 30, 2019.
When John Bosco was arrested, he said that his colleague was killed by a mob after he was caught stealing another motorcycle. But it has been revealed that he wasn’t killed despite being beaten by the mob. The police and the army have been tipped off by their various sources regarding the case as he was found hiding at a relative’s place.
