On Saturday, hip hop mogul 50 Cent declared on social media that Chris Brown has dethroned Micheal Jackson as the King of Pop.
50 Cent stirred a major war of words within the hip hop fraternity with a tweet that highlighted Chris Brown’s impressive record of sales accompanied by an unwelcome comparison to the late hip hop legend Micheal Jackson.
The message, a screen shot of a tweet read in part:”@chrisbrown has now sold 69.5M singles in the US making him the 7th best selling singles artist of all time.”
“CB bettter than MJ to me now,” added 50 Cent.
However, it was 50 Cent’s reference to the late Micheal Jackson’s longstanding molestation troubles that broke hell on his tweet.
50 Cent was using Micheal Jackson’s sexual scandals as a yard stick to make his point of Chris Brown being a better entertainer both on and off stage.
The post which drew polarizing reactions has since been deleted on Instagram but remains posted on Twitter.
In one of the reactions to a critic of his post 50 Cent remarks, “Im tired of ya mouth and leave me alone fool.”
Even though he suggested to be logging off his app for the weekend, 50 who doesn’t waver in his views reposted a photo of Chris Brown and listed some of his RIAA certifications to the hurt of many.
The rappers tweet goes to show how many still hold faith in the innocence of the late Micheal Jackson whose life was rocked by child molestation scandals.
Micheal Jackson was an American singer, song writer and dancer.
Dubbed the ‘King of Pop,’ he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century and one of the greatest entertainers of all time.
Micheal was born August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana, USA.
